Outstanding Companies

Janssen Precision Engineering makes an array of neat low-temperature and vacuum motors. Our group is using their low-temperature piezo knobs.
Zurich Instruments makes the best digital lock-ins I have ever seen (2 independent channels at 50 or 500 MHz), and oddly they also seem to be the most cost-effective. Great tech support, too!
Anapico makes high-quality / low-cost signal generators at microwave frequencies. We have a 20 GHz model.
GGB Industries provides microwave probes. They perform well, and are more mechanically compliant than most (meaning they don't trash our contact pads, which is kinda important for us). Great to talk to.
Phivac provides a variety of vacuum components (e.g. a turbo pumping station and UHV gauge for us so far). Good prices, friendly.
Norcada makes silicon nitride membranes with very good mechanical and optical properties. They know a lot and can fabricate custom devices.
